Now Offering Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy at Northwest Wellness!

Feb 02, 2026
PRP therapy uses a small sample of your own blood to concentrate platelets that support tissue repair, offering a natural option for stubborn joint or tendon pain when conservative care isn’t enough. Now offered at NW Wellness by Dr. Thomas.

Northwest Wellness has always believed the body has an incredible capacity to heal, especially when given the right support.

That’s why we’re excited to introduce Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy as a new service for patients who need something more when conservative care alone isn’t enough.

What is PRP?
PRP uses a small sample of your own blood, carefully processed to concentrate platelets, cells rich in growth factors and signaling molecules that help coordinate tissue repair. This platelet-rich plasma is then precisely applied to areas such as joints or tendons to support the body’s natural healing response.

How PRP aligns with our philosophy:
PRP doesn’t replace chiropractic care, massage therapy, or naturopathic medicine, it complements them.
It’s often considered when pain or dysfunction persists despite good movement, soft-tissue work, rehab, and lifestyle support.

Common areas we evaluate for PRP include:
• Knee osteoarthritis
• Shoulder pain or degeneration
• Tendinopathies and chronic soft-tissue injuries

When appropriate, PRP may be performed with ultrasound guidance to support accuracy and safety.

What to know:
• PRP is autologous (from your own body)
• Results are gradual, not instant
• It’s not a quick fix, but a biologically thoughtful option

If you’ve been doing “all the right things” and still feel stuck, PRP may be a conversation worth having.
